Hakone Gardens

I am fortunate to have some wonderful friends who not only share the same passion for photography, but are also always sharing their favorite photo spots. I was able to spend and afternoon last week with fellow photographer and pharmacist, Charmaine. She introduced me to Hakone Gardens in Saratoga. It’s a beautiful hillside Japanese garden. It’s worth a visit.

Get in the Flow

In an effort to capture the right exposure length to capture the movement of water from waterfalls, I decided to put together a chart show the differences with the different shutter speeds.

Camera Ready!

I think we are fortunate that the cameras on our phones are able to take great photos. Although never a replacement for a good SLR or mirrorless, but definitely a good tool to have access to. You never know when a photo opportunity may pop up. Always have a camera on you. :)
